The Event

EVENT INFORMATION:

This event occurred on May 17, 2009 for the 1st annual celebration “Don't Give Out, Don't Give In, and Don't Give Up”. The event was free and welcomed all whose life has been affected by kidney disease. Newly diagnosed patients, dialysis patients, and their families’ gathered valuable information about understanding and living with renal disease and the resources to help patients live life to the fullest. The event offered information sessions, a patient forum, a “Market Place”, and a banquet to close the day’s activities with food, music, and raffle items.

Information Sessions:

Informative topics were addressed by some of the most experienced and knowledgeable professionals in the medical community. A patient forum concluded the information sessions where attendees had the opportunity to hear from fellow patients and ask questions.

Market Place:

Attendees had the opportunity to speak with representatives from organizations who offer various products, services, and resources to kidney patients and dialysis patients. Our Market Place sponsors included: US Renal Therapies, Lepow Foot, and more.

Banquet:

The banquet concluded the event with a fun gathering featuring music and raffle drawings. It was a great opportunity to meet and mingle with other attendees and speak with Market Place representatives and event speakers.

An appearance by the Harbor Light Choir was featured

Attire: Casual Elegant

Patient attendees were automatically be entered in the raffle drawings with completed registration.

The banquet closed the day's events with a fun filled gathering offering food, music, comedy, and raffle drawings. The event was free of charge to patients and their families.
